AdvanceVT Graduate Student Lunch Seminar
11:30 am — 1:30 pm, Graduate Life Center, Room F

Dr. Ann Kilkelly and other Virginia Tech faculty members will help women graduate students in science and engineering prepare for academic job interviews through dramatizations and discussions of actual situations. Lunch will be provided.

Grads Movie Night at the Lyric, featuring Match Point
The Lyric Theater, showings at 7:00 pm and 9:15 pm

Enjoy a night at the movies, compliments of the Graduate School and the Lyric Theater. Match Point, Woody Allen's acclaimed film about "ambition and obsession, the seduction of wealth, and the often discordant relationship between love and sexual passion" features Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

250 free tickets are available first-come, first-serve to graduate students at the Graduate Life Center information desk.

Graduate Education Week Awards Banquet (by invitation only)
6:00 pm, Graduate Life Center, Multipurpose Room

This prestigious event honors students who have distinguished themselves at Virginia Tech in areas of teaching, research, and service, including the Outstanding Dissertation and Thesis recipients, the outstanding student from each college, and the Student of the Year recipients. The Alumni Association presents awards for outstanding graduate teaching and outstanding graduate student service.
